The Blood Diamonds star expressed a few strong opinions towards marriage which left many wondering if he was ever happily married to Kimora or were there secondary motives behind it? He added,
"Some people are happily together for decades and they get this fantasy idea to go and get married when it's just about papers basically…eventually it just goes sour."
The couple began dating in 2007 and after just a year, the two participated in a traditional commitment ceremony in Djimon’s native country Republic of Benin.
